I am C type. I am kind of surprised of the accuracy of the result. I always analyze and think before I act becuase I dont want to hurt anybody else. I want to be what I am because I dont think there are advantages and disadvantages of each type. I think it's helpful to determine people's management "type" to better understand where they are coming from. this test definitely can help us in other personal interactions.
In the winter survival scenario, i want to be with a C leader. C leader is conscientious that he/she makes a decision based on facts and analysis, so this type of leader is more reliable. I also feel more comfortable with this type of leader since I am willing to follow and agree with their analysis.

Well, I got kind of the opposite answers on the management test. I am a D high C. Even though I don't consider myself a leader, I am kind of bossy sometimes.
ReplyDeleteI am going to disagree with you in the advantages and disadvantages of knowing the personality type you are. I do think that if we find out what managerial type we fall onto, we will be able to try to incorporate somehow some characteristics from the other types. By doing so, we are improving as people and therefore as managers.
That is how I feel about the test.
I agree with you that know your "type" helps better understand yourself and helps your interaction with others. So that you know what kind of people you will feel more comfortable with.
ReplyDeleteI think that you wouldn't need to follow someone else in the Stranded activity because you chose a C type, and you yourself are a C type, so you could be the leader instead of following someone else and having two C types. I think it would be more beneficial to have more variety of types.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I am also C type and I would also feel comfortable to follow suggestion that had been carefully analyzed if I was in the winter survival scenario.
ReplyDeleteI think that regardless of your type you it depends on how you react to a situation. And if you feel comfortable wit a certain type of leader it is because you feel confident in their decisions and not their type.
